From satellite observations to everyday tools
We have been working on satellite data for over 30 years. In 1989, the European Space Agency (ESA) designed a satellite to explore the environment. This bus-sized ENVISAT satellite studied the ozone layer, among other things. We participated in the creation of the software for the satellite’s ozone instrument and the processing of data on the ground. Since then, electronics and the launch of satellites into space have become cheaper, and the need for satellite-based services has increased.

From algae observations to Space Situational Awareness – Satellite observations helping society
Information about the surrounding world can be obtained in many different ways. The method that rarely comes to mind is the satellites orbiting the earth. We can track our food messengers from the map of a mobile app, and we can check the weather data in real time across the globe – satellites are the ones providing us with this information.

From Data Analytics to Data Management
Data analytics goes hand in hand with data management. With data analytics, we developed a solution for predictive maintenance of railway infrastructure with our client VR FleetCare. Together, data analytics and data management open doors to new business opportunities.

Data Analytics and Prediction
Gathering data has become easier and more effortless than before. The benefits of data are multiple: it allows you to find more efficient solutions and make smarter choices. Together with VR FleetCare, we developed a solution for proactive maintenance of railway infrastructure with data analytics.

WISA Woodsat to make a test flight from Seinäjoki
Seinäjoki will reach out into space in February as the technology company Huld and Arctic Astronautics send a test version of the WISA Woodsat satellite to visit the stratosphere. Seinäjoki, as the capital of the Pohjanmaa district, famous for its open space and plains, is a natural choice for satellite testing, and the satellite itself has been designed with local expertise.

Huld’s Orbitcon MCS – Ground segment solution for Nanosatellites
Huld developed a mission control system (MCS) customized for the nanosatellite missions. The MCS is provided in form of software-as-a-service (SaaS), or in broader sense ground-segment-as-a-service (GSaaS), i.e., including a ground station network.

Huld Is at the Core of Making Health Care More Cyber Secure
Societies are constantly becoming more intelligent. Simultaneously, they also face growing cyber security threats. In network-based activities, cyber threats can be critical for the operations carried out in several different branches. This is especially true for public administration organizations.
