Continuous product development is an essential part of Aava Mobile’s success story. When it was time to design and manufacture the oona 10 Windows tablet, Aava Mobile contacted Huld to develop the mechanical design of the tablet.
Aava Mobile’s tablets differ from tablets designed for consumer use, as they are more durable. Creating a device that is drop-proof and strong played a key role in the mechanical design. Tablets designed for industrial and service use must endure rough use, dropping and changes in temperature as well as vibration, dust, and water. The constantly developing network technology was also taken into account in the mechanical design of the smart device.

As the simulation and test rounds progressed, the mechanical design and the design of the tablet became more detailed. Weekly meetings and frequent reviews ensured smooth collaboration and communication.

Subcontracting the mechanical design improved the product development of oona 10 Windows with external know-how, which enhanced the quality and reliability of the product.
