Pirha, the Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa, is responsible for the social, health and rescue services in Pirkanmaa area. Pirha’s goal was to develop an easy-to-use website so that people can find the right services and critical information quickly. In collaboration, Huld’s UX/UI designers build an accessible website for Pirha for all platforms, from computers to tablets and mobiles.

The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa operates in 23 municipalities. They have a total of more than half a million inhabitants from children to elderly. Pirha wanted to develop their customer experience by renewing their website comprehensively. The goal was to create a website where customers can find the information they need effortlessly. The site should be accessible to everyone, regardless of different habits, needs and skills in using digital services.

Mapping Development Needs Through User Research

Easy access to information about public health services is a critical basic need. Therefore, at the beginning of the cooperation, we carried out a user survey. With the survey, we gained a comprehensive view of what kind of development needs the websites have from the customer’s perspective.

Based on the user survey, one of the goals of the website’s usability development was to facilitate self-service and reduce unnecessary contacts. The aim was to build the user interface logic in such a way that the customer can find all the information they need intuitively. Thus, smooth online transactions improve the pleasant use of the service. Moreover, it reduces the amount of routine work for employees.

Huld’s experienced UX/UI designers found feasible solutions to the pain points of our website, and the cooperation went smoothly. Despite our tight schedule, the renewed user interface is well designed, according to the needs of the end-user.” –Anne Kauhanen, Web Communications Designer, the Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa

High-Quality Online Experience with UX/UI Design

As a result of the collaboration, our UX/UI design professionals helped build a clear, accessible and easy-to-use website for Pirha. In addition to the user experience, the end result took into account the maintainability of the site. The website was built entirely on a modular platform, which makes it easy to update it also for future needs. The website works on both desktop and mobile – and all other resolutions in between.

The project was carried out in close cooperation with Pirha’s experts, involving the end users of the online service. Moreover, the cooperation utilised the principles of service design and agile methods. This enabled us to react quickly to customer feedback as the work progressed.

Our goal was to renew our entire website, which is our face on the outside. Based on customer surveys, we trusted Huld’s experienced UX/UI designers in the implementation, and we are satisfied with the result. Thanks to the renewal, the customer feedback has decreased, and the public can now find the information they need easier than before.” –Aki Lehto, Development Manager, Digital Services, the Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa
