When gathering insights about the future and identifying potential needs or generating new ideas, one can employ what is known as the design thinking process: understand – define – ideate – test – launch (or iterate further). Workshops and creative activities are utilized to gather ideas and perspectives. Through prototyping and testing, user feedback is obtained to improve the ideas. Iteration is repeated until a functional solution is achieved.

Nine sheet metal innovators will be awarded at the Engineering Works Fair in Tampere. The Vallox Delico product family is one of the recipients of the award with an honourable mention in the design category. The partner in the Vallox Delico cooker hood project was Huld, who was successfully responsible for product design, mechanical design and user interface design.
