Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harakka led a Team Finland delegation to visit South Korea on 29–31 January 2023. The business delegation had 20 members representing the 5G, 6G, quantum technology, space, and satellite sectors. Huld was part of the delegation.
South Korea is an interesting country for space industry. The government is investing a lot for space programs: the $619 million that South Korea invested in national space programs in 2022 is 15% more than the amount the government originally proposed. The investments are growing year after year.
Based on the discussions with potential customers during the visit, Huld is an interesting development partner for South Korea’s space programs, thanks to the high-quality references and long history in space business.
The delegation was coordinated by Business Finland. The companies and organizations participating in the visit included Aurora Propulsion Technologies Oy, Bluefors, Huld Oy, ICEYE Oy, IQM Quantum Computers, Kuva Space Oy, Nokia Oyj, QuantrolOx, ReOrbit, Wirepas Oy, Aalto University, University of Helsinki, University of Oulu, 6G Flagship research programme of the University of Oulu and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
